Painting!!!!

I posted about my painting inspiration now for the finished product!

I actually remembered to take pics along the way.
I plan to post more pics when I get it hung in the living room
ENJOY!!

Step 1
I first drew out a random tree pattern that looked pleasing with a pencil.
Last I went over the entire pattern with Elmers Glue

Step 2
Color block painted my panels while they were touching
Using a lighter color toward the middle

Step 3
Added White texture to middle of all panels then over painted where the glue is

Step 4
Overprinted all the glued areas with the reverse colors

Final Product
Varnished The entire painting with a gloss medium

Details on the owls
in my case they represent my kids

Inspiration

Just because I have not been blogging does not mean

Jacob and I decided that it would be fun to do an off the cuff photo shoot on the back patio last night.
I have been seeing all these fabulous ideas for photos with CHALK and decided to take a stab at it, the results were fabulous! I plan to make this into a planned shoot very soon.

Fairy Party!!!

Better Late than never right???
I never knew having two kids,
a full time job,
AND

several Hobbies would take up so MUCH time.

But I would not trade it for the world!!!

So HERE it IS

FAIRY PARTY 2011

 

The party prep was not so bad BUT the FOOD PREP

I will NEVER as long as I LIVE make all that again
It was just not worth it all.

And those blasted Cake Pops that LOOK so
EASY online they are NOT
I guess those people must be super Human or something
But obviously I am not. No joke I was about
2 seconds form taking my tried butt
right down to the local super market
and getting WHATEVER they had out on the counter
and that is SO not me.

All the rest of the party prep 

was pretty much a breeze and
I was totally happy with the results

And the Birthday Fairy herself

A bit of COLOR Monday

Its the simple things that make my day better today's is a tin bucket from the Target $1 bin.

I am using it as a pen holder. I little bit of color goes a LONG way.

Party Countdown!! - 3 days till PARTY!!!

Last nights craft was CROWNS.
For all the little Lords and Ladies. 

We are going to have a
MAKE YOU OWN CROWN
station at the party with
Crayons, stickers and such.

Last night I completed the Cut outs
all 20 of them!!

Then I set out to create whats going to be
MY CROWN or the EXAMPLE.

I think good even if I look like a
DORK with it on
